Wendy Donaghy & Rob Viens

Wendy stays busy as a soprano soloist for concerts, special events, sacred cantatas, operas, recordings, funerals, and weddings throughout the Pacific Northwest. Wendy enjoys singing many genres of music and sharing the works of gifted composers is her life’s passion. Her most challenging role to date: Delivering Gluck’s Pallas Athene’s ambitious aria balancing from the top of an eight foot ladder with six foot wings of gold!

Rob Viens, Master of Music, Vocal Performance

Rob’s work as a performer, conductor, educator, adjudicator, director, and clinician has been featured locally at Mount Baker Theatre, Opera Popolare, WWU Summer Stock, Bellingham Theatre Guild, the Bellingham & Lynden Festivals of Music, and the San Juan Music Educators’ festivals.

Rob is the founder and Artistic Director/Music Director of “Vocal Pyro!,’ a high-energy small vocal ensemble that performs excerpts from opera, operetta and musicals. He’s serves the same role with the Bellingham Community Chorus, a large non-audition ensemble, now in its 29th season.

In 2019, he debuted “Summer Voices,” a highly successful program for singers of all abilities, to foster healthy vocal technique and provide an opportunity for singers to sing in an ensemble when most choruses are on a hiatus.

Rob maintains an active voice studio that specializes in building strong, healthy, flexible, and vibrant voices and ensembles. His high school singers earn top ranking in regional and State level contests. Through years of personal and professional experience, he’s also developed a specialty of vocal rehabilitation and longevity, enabling people to find or recover their voice—whether they’re 10 or 100+.

Spanning a wide range of ages and styles, his singers are in demand in the classical, pop/rock, and musical theatre worlds.
